I also object to theocratic governments generally, but turns out, the civilians in those countries don't actually endorse everything their government does because, surprisingly, it appears that governments are known to do weird things for their own interests at the expense of their people.

I'm actually trying to think of any famous boxing matches between athletes that could be identified as a gay boxer and a Muslim boxer. I'm sure there have been several, and I've no doubt that sometimes the gay representative won and sometimes the Muslim representative won and occasionally it would end in a tie.

But I don't have Boxing Almanac Annual to hand just right now.

Well, we know what it's *trying* to say. It's another in a long line of sad attempts to fracture the "left" wing coalition by pushing the myth that Islam is intolerant of homosexuality and therefore the two sets of advocacy groups cannot cooperate as oppressed minorities with mutual political interests in Western democracies.

Well, ok, that's not really true: what they're ACTUALLY trying to do is create an echo chamber where they can tell each other that this is a self evident fact without getting any feedback from members of either group, and then they plan on high-fiving each other when they decide that the reason it doesn't work is because we're the idiots.

The religious laws whose appropriate degree of application in modern society is under dispute even by Muslims themselves? In pretty much the exact same way every religion in the world works?

In my classes, I cannot stop the Muslim kids from chatting with the lgbt kids during my lessons. They are inseparable. But please, keep showing me photos of people from fringe movements like they're representative of the whole group.

"Fringe"? You seem to suffer from the common leftist problem of an inability to use words correctly.

The muslim children made up 90% of the school's population (hardly "fringe"), and the school has now suspended the glbt curriculum.

Several of the Muslim parents even threatened to pull their children out of the school entirely and return to their home countries. I'm given to understand that at least one or two families (now THAT is admittedly a "fringe" number) actually did just that, and returned to Pakistan. So congratulations to the regressive left in succeeding at what their hated alt-right counterparts failed to do.
