Name calling because one holds to their constitutional rights? You sound like a backwards idiot(I'm not saying that your are one) and might want to rethink that. If you don't want to exercise your 2nd amendment right then more power to you and I would never call you a name for doing so. Personally, I own 1 gun which I purchased only within the last 4 years and have never even fired it. It's still brand new. I believe in the Constitution and I know my history. Even if I had never owned a gun, I believe this and would fight to not have that right removed or infringed upon. Why would that warrant calling a person who would assert that right an "ammosexual"? So, let's have a decent conversation without the name calling, please because it is old and tired. Heck, have you ever considered that you might have a phobia about guns? I had to because the first guns I saw were aimed at me.
I never saw the need for one when I was single and lived in the "big city" but I have a family, a home with valuable stuff as well which I would like to protect. Like the sprinklers in my home - I hope that they are never used but they will be there when I need them. I have friends who love to go to the shooting range and some are ex cops. I don't see the fun in it but more power to them. I have a friend who lives on a farm and he and others shoot targets there. I have friends who collect guns like I collect books and used to collect Baseball cards. I don't, but that's their thing. All this to say that you might want to expand your thinking on this subject. Today that right you are trying to fight against COULD be that one that you might actually need at a different point in your life.
