I honestly have no idea.

The reason why Joker won was due to sells and upcoming influx of games on Nintendo consoles and truly the Idea of Shantae and Phoenix Wright is a truly great idea to be in. Sadly Waluigi will always be a supporting trophy and Sans is a stupid character to implement. I understand that you're crying for stupid characters to be included who have nearly a small correlation with Nintendo except for the others even including Waluigi who may have a chance to come. All the other stupid characters to be mentioned have little to no support on Nintendo so blame on the Creators and Studios who have not helped with Nintendo in the past or any of their games.

I do realize why Joker was chosen, and why Shantae and P. Wright weren’t (one almost forgotten game per system and/or not being well known outside Japan). I just think it’s a bit disappointing in those cases. I included Waluigi and Sans because a lot of other people want them to be playable, I actually do not want them to be playable. Sans isn’t even that good of an idea as an assist trophy, unlike Waluigi.

Exactly that's correct as many are crying away for characters that don't really have a good place to be in it's quite hard to know if it will be in Smash. It all depends on Japan and Sakurai to know about them but Phoenix Wright might not be there since Marvel vs Capcom. But Shantae is a very interesting character while Waluigi just have supporting roles in main games and only is the main character in party games

EXCUSE ME BUT SANS IS A GREAT ASSIST TROPHY CHARACTER AND WOULD BE AN EVEN BETTER CHARACTER ALONG WITH WAWULIGI ON THE ROSTER MY FRICKIN’ GOD

Sans would be a good assist trophy, dare I say a GREAT one. And yes, there ARE assist trophy characters with no playable character representing their series (Shovel Knight and Rathalos) so it’s possible. But he’s not got enough to base a fully playable character on, in my opinion. In fact, Asriel, with his four different forms, would be much easier to base a character on. Plus, goats are cool and we need more popular goats.
