The CPD Police Chief strongly disagrees and he is not white.. the biggest problem with this is that the next time a hate crime REALLY happens, the victim is less likely to be believed because of Smollett's actions. That makes it worse on potential targets in Trump World, because there will be more real incidents, unfortunately. I am not that upset, but real victims have the right to be because HE made them more likely not to be believed..
