So every road becomes a tollway and you end up paying through the nose what used to be cheaper through taxes?

I dont think that’s his/her point. Of course, we pay taxes. However, not much goes to roads. The government is misusing lots of that money.

"Taxation is theft" usually doesn't get used to say "but a little bit of well-managed theft is ok" - so I want to hear from the OP directly on where (s)he's going with this.
