UBI is not communism. Communism is communism which includes a one party rule, or at least in Marxism. You can have a UBI and still have elements of capitalism as well as a democracy.

Ummmm ubi is when you're given on a needed basis....that's literally the definition of communism. Go ahead, Google it. No shame. Lots of people don't actually know the meaning of socialism, or communism, or even capitalism.

Ive actually studied all these meaning and among other things found such are only ideas that in reality manifest on a spectrum as no society is completely socialistic or capitalistic but have elements of both. Some are more extreme with totalitarian governments which cause suffering. But no , UBI is not the definition of communism but could be argued to be more of a socialist idea, one that could be incorporated into a social democracy in which elements of capitalism are at play.

Just so were clear. That is the definition. But....I do see that you have good intent for mankind. Communism, socialism, capitalism....all work on paper. The problem is that they get abused. How you ask? By one party taking more than they are entitled to. Capitalism breeds monopolies. Soc and coms breed misapropriation of funds lost in beurocracy. Universal income caps "could" fix this. But in the end, we know 2 things from the past. 1 you cant have utopia, and 2 you cant dominate the world.

By the definition you posted it does not equate to UBI. I agree no system will create utopia, but let's just say some will create more fertile grounds to do so. I think neither pure communism no capitalism make for such grounds, rather blended truly democratic system provide for such.

Finally...you make a valid point. A blend usually helps. Now....the question is, how do we keep it from being abused?.

I firmly believe if you don't check large monetary interests they'll eventually take over. This should be done three fold. First is progressive taxation so they don't eclipse the power of the state. 2nd is to enact a separation of big money and state which includes barring them from manipulating the public consciousness. Lastly is the necessity of a direct democracy. When we give our power away to a "representative" it is ripe for corruption to occur. There are all kinds of round about ways and laws created that facilitate bribery. Direct Democracy takes away this possibility from happening. It's a lot harder to bribe a populace than a relatively few reps.

Now...that is a good foundation.
