i respect how aoc is actually doing the work she was elected to do.
she and her team do the actual work of legislating.
i watch her and her committee on c-span.
she is extremely effective,and that is mainly sue to the fact that her and her team do their due diligence.
unlike many in congress,who spend most of their time focusing on campaigning for donations,and abdicating their responsibilities to groups such as a.l.e.c.
aoc is doing her job.
i can disagree with some of her policy suggestions,and respect her work.
the hysteria of the GND is political theater,and is a non-binding resolution.
basically "we promise we will pay attention to climate change,and address the issues"
but we don't have to if we don't want to.
the GND served it purpose to insert climate change,and the inevitable ending of fossil fuels,into the debate.
and it worked...brilliantly..
every media source collectively lost their minds over the GND,
and now congress is talking about it,and not simply kicking it down the road.
will it be implemented as written?

because that was never the point.
there is an element of aoc that is very "trumplike".
she has mastered on how to manipulate the discussion,just like trump has.
so the left loses their shit over some trump tweet (as if that is really relevant) and trump gets to push through whatever he wants while the left eats itself over his social media.
aoc does the exact same thing to the right,
the GND never would have had the exposure it did,if the right didn't have their hysterical breakdown.
