To take one example of supposed homonid ancestors, Ardipithecus, they made a model of the whole animals based on less than half the skeleton and that's the most complete one; they assumed posture even though there no vertebrae (only 2 fragments), ribs or knees https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ardipithecus#/media/File:Ardipithecis_Ramidus_skeleton_1994-1996.jpeg . Could you explain how genetic evidence alone supports evolution? We're supposed to share over 90% DNA similarity with chimpanzees, yet we cannot interbreed with them (and that would be disgusting bestiality) even though a horse and a donkey can produce a mule.

There is just as much evidence for the historicity of Jesus and the Exodus from Egypt, yet people reject that. Even then, human psychology alone is very strong confirmation of the Bible's veracity and reliability.

Depends on the biology professor, there are more who are skeptical of evolution than you may realize.

I made this meme for two reasons; encourage civil discussion and debate on evolution, and to point out facts. I didn't say it was just the expectation of scientists...

Correlation doesn't always equal causation. On that note, can great apes - like gorillas and chimpanzees - interbreed?

The chromosomes look very similar, yet when comparing human chromosome 2 to the ape chromosome, where human chromosome 2 is joined looks very different; here's a detailed picture https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kkvF0n_ssLA/UaYUSoguxaI/AAAAAAAAGOs/HUV8ZoLUaos/s1600/1982-Chromosome2-small.jpg

There is a case for fusion, yet I remain skeptical because they remain very different from each other at the point of fusion, which also undermines your analogy about the parked cars, but I'll use it because it has some merit. In the analogy you cited, if the car in front had scraped your car's front bumper, there should also be a scrape on the other car, but you never mentioned that and cars can come in the same color; it's likely but the way you described it it's also possible the car that scraped yours left and another car the same color came in and parked there.

Not to mention the fact that the chromosome didn't join in chimps and chimps are still around, so why didn't they "evolve" and why did we "evolve" even though we live/lived under the same conditions?

Having re-read what you wrote I apologize; you did say that with the car analogy. Yet I will say that that analogy doesn't fit for the theory of evolution as the evidence is not so obvious. The link I supported shows the similarities and the differences, and at the point where the chimp genes are separated, they look very different to the similar-looking point on the human gene, so that weakens rather than supports the argument.

Also I didn't ask when it happened, I asked WHY it happened and WHY chimps are still around if some apes evolved into humans since both lived under the same conditions.
