Yes. There was also a guy who killed 6, i think, white guys because he wanted to kill all white people. Got exactly zero press.

It was all we heard about for a month.

And I was in the UK at the time. I can only imagine how much more coverage it got in the US itself.

Zero press is hyperbole but that truly shocks me if true because I saw very little coverage of it. Had it been the other way, we'd be seeing the white face memed here, well, at least once, you know?

I always hear tons about all the shooters. The press can't get enough of it, no matter what the color.

The complaint about the media handling has generally has been that white shooters and shooters of color get called different terms and the language is handled very differently in each case, no matter how ridiculous the attempted distinction seems to be. You and I would have differing opinions on the direction of that slant, but that's where the discussion usually lies.

But honestly, the only time I ever hear that the press just don't like talking about a shooter obsessively like it's making them a fortune is when you guys tell me that's the case. I don't know why that is - either there's something weird about where you're getting your news from or you're sweeping coverage under the carpet when it doesn't suit your narrative. I couldn't tell you.
