I think you're right. H W was the most recent President to have put it some authentic service time, then Jimmy Carter before him.

yes, was the youngest combat pilot at one time during ww2. Got shot down, possibly rescued by JFK pt 109 but just a rumor

Dubya was technically a member of the armed forces, but I don't think anyone can really call that service.
