I spent many an hour learning it on guitar. I love that style of Hendrix, like Castles made of sand.
I've heard Gallagher. He's good but I never got into his stuff, might not have heard his best.
Yeah, they are all good. Altho I do like a few Zep songs, i find them horribly overrated, altho the bass and drums was top notch. Never got into the Blackmore band, can't even remember the name.
Mine would include Hendrix, SRV, Johnny Winters, Clapton (I know he's been cheese for years but his lead playing has just always been great) Peter Green, Blind Willie Johnson, Robert Johnson, Charlie Christian, Roy Buchanan, Allman and Betts, Albert King, Michael Bloomsfield (Even just for his work on East-West) Knophler, Rhodes, Ry Cooder. And just recently seeing Roy Clark after he died, damn, could he rip on the guitar, saw him with that country guy that also just died of Alzheimers, my memory sucks these days, George Jones maybe? Anyway, no, Glen Campbell, they just ripped it up!!
