Boba did survive though.

Only person in the galaxy to survive a sarlacc pit, becomes the king of mandalor. Pretty good tradeoff TBH

George Lucas beat Star Wars to the edge of death with the prequels, Disney struck the killing blow with the sequels.

What do you mean 'edge of death with the prequels' the only bad star wars movie was the last jedi, TFA was meh but the prequels, apart from jar jar binks was pretty decent.

Why was that so horrible? Yoda was a practitioner of Lightsaber form 4-Ataru which focuses on being extreamly fast and agile, sure yoda is old but lets not forget that his race (which has no name) stays "Young" for pretty much their whole life until they die. He was around 800 years old When fighting Dooku but still in his prime.
I mean, Chewbacca is nearly 200 years old and he looks fine as a stalion.

What the hell am i saying 100 - 75... thats a bit much... since palpatine were only on the throne for about 20...
0 ups, 6y
Well in ROTJ he was pretty much on his death bed :-P
In ESB he was maybe a year away or something, he was about to kick the bucket ofcourse he'd be slow :-P

The last jedi was really bad for the original charecters... And overall it was just poorly written.
0 ups, 6y
Yoda was also around 900 years when he died, about 100 - 75 years older from the clone wars.

They just aren’t good, everything that made the originals wonderful was stripped away all for the sake of ‘change’. If it’s not broken don’t fix it. Personally I thought the prequels where meh. But Disney’s mistreatment of the classic characters in favour of a character that can already do everything & has no development at all throughout the series. The casino scene was drawn out the point of being ridiculous, reys lineage was the most un-Shakespearean twist in the series, luke was portrayed as a sad old hermit that wan tide to kill Ben (keep in mind this is the guy who got darts Vader to come back to the light side) and from a story standpoint achieved nothing in the series as a whole. Disney has done what George did back in 1999 & tried to cash in & recapture the magic of the originals (George Lucas actually had little to do with the originals storytelling). Instead like the prequels, the new Star Wars has fallen flat on its face & essetially defeated the purpose & message of the original franchise. Democracy over tyranny. Good vs evil. Jedi vs sith. Extraordinary times call for extrodinary people. And as for the racist pricks who bitch about the film being ‘too diverse’, all I have to say is Star Wars has always been diverse & unique. The galaxy is a big place after all. So your assumption that people like myself dislike TLJ because we’re racist, sexist idiots is misguided. The real SW fans like myself are more interested in story & were disappointed at the direction the franchise had taken. In my eyes there are still only 3 SW films:
A New Hope
Empire Strikes Back
Return of The Jedi
The EU is cannon too (which Disney destroyed : (
Bit of a rant but that is my viewpoint anyway

It's okay if you don't like the sequels. I personally enjoy them. But it's my own personal opinion.

After all, films are subjective.

I don't think there are "real" SW fans. Everyone has their own way of enjoying things. This "real fans" business just comes off as a "lolyouropinionwrongandstupid". You get what I'm saying?

I get what your saying, but a real sw fan takes the massage of the films to heart. It got me through my depression many years ago. Nowadays I look a the newer ones (being prequel & sequel) & feel like they missed the point of the original. Sure people are allowed to have their own view but it stil doesn’t change the facts of the matter. The story abondened ‘escapism’ and became too realistic politically. When I watch sw I want to get away from the real world, a clear cut good vs evil story to entertain me for a while.

But Star Wars was always political, IMO. I mean, the original trilogy was about fighting against an oppressive government.

But we agree with one thing. The original trilogy was pure magic. It told an interesting story while also leaving a really good impact on the film industry.

I never really liked the prequels that much. But I do like the music and appreciate the effort and ambition that went into the special effects.

Music is always spot on in those movies. As for the political thing. Sure it was a little political but it was simplified into a good vs evil Shakespeare story. Fantastic films from start to finish.

But still. Films are subjective.

Liking certain entries in a series does not make you less of a fan of the series.

No offense. But it seems as if your judging the sequels for what they're not rather than what they are. It's not the right way to criticise something.

You're putting down the sequels because they don't look good through your rose-tinted nostalgia glasses.

You're completely overlooking the redeeming qualities of them.

Like in The Last Jedi where it's revealed what the whole concept of the force being in balance really means. Or how in the movie where the "anyone can be a Jedi" concept is reintroduced. No more of that "midiclorian count" bullshit.

Many say that Rey is OP. But, even though her abilities to use the force are questionable, her ability to use a lightsaber really well is understandable. I mean, she lived on a desert planet all by herself and carries a hugeass staff. It's obvious that she taught herself self-defense over time.

Sure, The Force Awakens is a New Hope rehash and The Last Jedi sneaks in a message about the downs of capitalism for a scene. But it's no excuse to overlook the redeeming qualities so much.

Sorry if I come off as an asshole. I just wanted to state my point in defense of the sequels.

1: The prequels are good in their own right, but can’t be compared to the originals.
2: Midichlorians is better than this idea of the force being some sort of divine power that anyone can have. Takes away the uniqueness of force users.
3: I’m sorry but if you think a feeble little girl like that can survive in that environment with no parental support from that young an age & self teach those kinds of hand to hand skill your just lying to yourself. Luke got his ass kicked many times during character development but got taught & went through struggles to achieve his power. Rey is too damn powerful for a novice & crylo REN does my head in. All he does is take tantrums & cant fight.
4: Nothing wring with criticising capitalism (its an inherently cruel system based off of nature’s cruelty & ‘survival of the fittest’ philosophy) but my problem lies in there mistreatment of the Jedi ways. They put it like the Jedi were a failure because of one generation. The Jedi protected the ‘republic’ (not democracy) for thousands of years.
5: Luke’s character was not only underplayed but an insault to any real fan of the series including mark Hamil himself & what the character of Luke stood for.
5: a true fan dedicates themselves to a series, hence why you have phrases such as ‘casual viewer’
6: rose was a useless character
7: They wasted cpt. Phasma character
8: that casino scene was too long
9: Snoke was pointless as he did nothing throughout the film but be a throwaway character for crylo.
10: that admiral woman was a useless pain in the ass that did nothing in the end & hindered the resistances ability to escape the first order.
11: I don’t criticises the films because I hate Star Wars, I criticise them because I want to see them succeed. Years of the EU were ripped away, including the clone wars all for the sake of forced diversity. Rather than incorporate diverse characters Into the story they just shove it down your throat. It seems to hate itself as a franchise for some odd reason.

Hamil doesn't hate The Last Jedi or what they did with Luke. What he said was taken way out of context.

Also, like Phasma and Snoke, Boba Fett was underutilized. They'll just pull a Boba Fett on one or both of them.

And Kylo gets into tantrums because he's desperate to be powerful. He thinks getting angry would make him stronger.

And The Clone Wars is getting (or maybe it maybe already got) brought back. Remember?

Plus, Rose was actually good for Finn's development. If it weren't for Rose, Finn would have just ran off and get himself killed.

And how would liking the sequels make you a casual?

I think you might like the film more if you give it a rewatching. I once read an article online by someone who first hated TLJ, but then loved it after a rewatching.

Just a suggestion.

But face it, these whiny pusses complain about every new one till they stop making them, then they pine for more because why not Ford with a walker?

No spoilers, but I had seen memes posted eleswhere showing Kylo with a really fake expanded bod, what's the dealio?

There are scenes where Kylo and the main protagonist's minds link together via the force. Therefore allowing them to see and speak to eachother from different parts of the galaxy. In one scene, their minds link while Kylo is shirtless. So I guess that's a "yes" to your question.
