So? I mean, someone could say Septile is better. It doesn't matter which starter ya choose in the Pokemon games from gen 1-6, the rival will always choose the one that is super effective against your choice.

this is why i buy different versions of the game and choose all three starters

I guess, that's one way to catch 'em all.
