I'm not Christian, and yes, sometimes followers of all religions do stupid things. However, the Christian crusades were a defensive response to Islam offensively slaughtering its way across the planet for 400 years, and if the Christians hadn't finally decided to stand up for themselves, maybe the entire world would be Islamic today.

Hahahaha there was nothing defensive about the crusades. Your narrative is ridiculously out of touch with what happened. It started purely as a political operation for the Byzantine Empire and escalated completely out of hand - the whole thing was such a mess with completely unaligned interests between all parties; if you're talking Crusaders who purely went into it with the intention of rolling back Islam, you're really talking Peter the Hermit - a relatively minor player in the whole fiasco.

Why do leftists change the subject to Christianity every single time somebody starts a conversation about the problem of Islam (which needs to be talked about), like as if you're attempting to deflect away from talking about it, like as if you're sneakily defending it? Islam is a different topic, with different problems, for different reasons, and Muhammad was a very different person than Jesus, with very different teachings.
