The Issue Isn't

In the end of ends I might agree. But unfortunately any loss of government would result in a power vacuum and first there would be mafia control, then other governments would move in and seize control and we'd become a satellite state. You could say at the moment they are a necessary evil. At some point I'm hoping to evolve where they would not longer be needed, but that admittedly might just be a pipe dream, or in heaven.

Governments will do everything in their power to suppress human evolution because the next step in human evolution is transcending man-made authority(all forms,including governments),and of course,governments can't allow that simply because they will cease to exist.

Still,with that being said,I really can't disagree with anything you've written. I am a pure anarchist,but from this point,anarchistic humanity look only like a very distant utopia. If governments dissappeared,other,non-official governments(such as gangs and mafias,like you've mentioned) would create their own authoritarian regimes. And if they ceased to exist afterwards,((the herd)) will elect somebody else to lead them and tell them what to do,because of their dependence to leadership.

Furthermore,a gigantic problem in government-transcendence is the manpower of the state,AKA the police and the military. If,hypothetically,everyone(apart of the obedient,patriotic,brain-dead policemen and soldiers) realized the existence of governments is pointless,the governments would see that as a rebellion,and would order their manpower to suppress that rebellion(with force,of course).

Yes, we see things very similar in this respect.
