They supported it in the past where it was most needed. Where is it needed now? Look at studies and evidence to figure out where it is needed, instead of the President's fear mongering approach. Or is this a big distraction from the investigations into the President. The Democrats were also willing to support this inexchange for DACA. The President should have taken that, but now that the courts have at least for now ruled that the President cannot arbitrarily cancel DACA, the Democrats don't have very much motivation and the President has little leverage to use this in deals.
