Wou paid in 1% less in taxes. The GOPTaxScam removed a boat load of deductions, so they are keeping more. This was by design. The Federal Government only has one source of income. Tax money. They gave the wealthy a 15% cut. Nobody in their right mind would voluntarily give away 15% of their income. And the GOP is no exception. They got that 15% back, by taking away your deductions. America's middle class and poor are now paying the rich man's taxes for him. This is called Trickle Down Economics. It's a slang term for Redistribution UP. Personally, I would gladly pay a few percent more IF the money were going to Infrastructure or College educations. But it's not. It's going to cover the cut they gave to the wealthy. This isn't something new. The GOP has been trying to do this for decades. And now they've made the Wealthy Man's Tax Cuts ....Permanent. Nice big refund days are over.

So, yes.... I see your point. The nations bills should be paid out of the lowest earning people, that only work with 15% of the nation's wealth.

The second part of your argument is wrong because you can't cut taxes on people that aren't even paying half the amount in comparison to the top 20%.

You can't hope to cut taxes for those who aren't paying half as much in comparison, nor can you worry about yachts when they provide money to yacht sellers when sold. Now a sharp drop of unemployment is on the rise in the US, so the second part of that video doesn't make much sense. Anyways, most of that tax is still not being payed by the middle in lower class in comparison.

Believe it or not, I don't actually mind too much that this is the basis of the tax break. That's a worthwhile discussion to have as a voting public.

But: Trump and the Republican voters need to say that's what they're doing. Instead of saying "Oh, EVERYONE is getting a tax break! Wait until people file their tax returns, then everyone will start believing in Trump!" they need to say "No, no, no, no, we're flattening out the tax code so that more people are paying a higher rate, and then the taxes come down on the wealthiest because they're the ones who have been doing all the paying so far."

Then we can have a discussion on why that's still wrong - but at least that's the right discussion to have, instead of us shouting from the rooftops all day that it was sold deceptively and being ignored.
