I think there is a distinction but seems like not very many people here talk about whatever that is. (Or if they do, I havent seen it.)
If it is mere image why not call it utopianism?

Even the concept of utopianism is sinificant when you consider that all forms of socialism are inherently utopian, and thus is doomed to spectacluar failure. Case in point, Venezuela.

So apparently we will continue not talking about the differences. Good to know.
