They Haven't Ever Seen "Real" Socialism

There's never going to be "real" socialism, in their eyes, just as there will ever be a "real" Scotsman. Real socialism for them would entail a utopia paradise with infinite resources and where there is no evil. But that will never EVER exist. "Real" socialism to them will never exist. But they'll keep trying anyway and kill everyone in the process.

Blind Idealism + Power = Unlimited Collateral Damage

Good intentions are no defense when you are putting real people on the street, destroying their lifelong potential. The real face of Socialism doesn't line up with leftist's imagined Socialism, so they refuse to recognize it as "Real Socialism". Their dream is just too precious to let it go.

It's like someone trusting a filtered selfie on Tinder. When you show up for the actual date, you could be in for a big surprise. Reality can't be negotiated with or photoshopped into something it isn't. Leftists' refusal to let go of their Socialist fantasy is like discovering that your date is a toothless dog and still taking it home to meet Mom.
