I usually run mine under a hot tap for a few seconds. That works well enough for small quantities

Alright, ball is in your court bro. I got some rittenhouse the other day and finally tried it, that stuff is gooood! Spicy, and being 100 proof just gives it a nice compliment for the spice, like that extra kick but not too much. Sweet finish, all the good vanilla caramel malty aged flavor that something like that should have. Also, to your point I like it better than the bulleit rye. Thanks for the recommendation, I shared it with a coworker too and they ended up getting some, still waiting on his review though. Alright, get some basil hayden's already, lol

I didn't want to spoil it and tell you Rittenhouse was 100 proof. It's surprisingly smooth for being so strong. Not like Wild Turkey

I liked the higher proof, they did it well. Knob creek bourbon is very similar, higher proof but still smooth. Give it a splash of water and it cuts the edge right off, but you still have ALL of the flavor. Good stuff.

I used to drink everything totally straight with the occaional martini or manhattan. Since I've started having bladder problems I've been drinking on rocks; that way, at least it seems like I'm drinking the same amount when I'm really not.
I actually just discovered the Broken Skull margarita; I've never been one for margaritas, but that one is good

I'm sort of the opposite, used to drink it on the rocks and now drink it straight or with a little splash of water. On the rocks is really interesting, especially with scotch. As the ice melts it continues to change the flavor of the spirit, its almost like every sip is a different take on the same whisky.

It's interesting for sure, I definitely prefer it straight. I have found that I drink it faster now that I drink it on the rocks, which could be good or bad
