My apologies, but I don't feel this is an appropriate site for political science discussions. I will say, however, that you mis-spelled socialism.

yeah I know this is not the ideal site to discuss politics, I just wanted to know if you knew how much worse communism is if you look at total deaths caused. I just want someone to discuss politics with because no one in my family even knows what communism is. My friends know not so much, but they understand it.

What I meant was that the Russian government dissolved the Soviet Union in December of 1991. The Russian Federation is its new official name.
