I remember when Super Saturday became a regular program.

The only time we were allowed to watch TV on our own was Saturday mornings. While it was still dark out, we'd get a bowl of cereal and a blanket, plop ourselves down on the living room floor right smack in front of the TV where food and drinks were usually forbidden, and watch two hours of kid stuff. Cartoons were over early and we were always half way through the chores list by the time our parents got up.

My mom took the cord to the tv with her to work so we couldn't watch TV. We IRONED too. I was mowing lawns when I was 5. Lol.

My dad took the cord sometimes if we were in trouble. Other times he would feel the back of the TV when he got home to see if we had watched when we weren't supposed to.

A memorable TV moment for me was the Apollo 11 landing, I can still hear my dad saying "This doesn't happen everyday you know". I was too young to understand at the time but my dad worked on the Apollo program with some gizmos including the AGC, the guidance computer that got the astronauts to the moon and back home. Your meme takes me back to that time :)
