Thanks for asking. My beliefs are irrelevant. When reading the Bible, context is very important. WHO was being commanded? This was in Levitical law which was directed to the Israellites and they were under a theocracy. It is not a universal command for all people in all places and at all times. While it is still considered a sin, we are not directed to do execute those practicing homosexuals today because we don't live under a theocracy. In the New Testament, Paul speaks of people who WERE homosexuals which indicates that they were converted to Christianity and had walked away from that lifestyle.

Heck, I had different rules than my other brothers and sisters and so does our society today. it's illegal to sell alcohol to 15 year olds. So, why couldn't God have different rules?? And there are certain rules whith apply to all people on the planet. Theft and murder are just two of them.

You are begging the question regarding homosexual activity. Is it good or harmful?? If it was a good thing then you might have a point but by assuming it then you are begging the question. If it is a harmful then it would be very good that He commanded us not to do it. As it is , it is very harmful to our bodies because it goes against it's design. Just go look up the stats on the CDC website - don't take my word for it. We don't need God to tell us this is not by design, but He did. The key here is that if that's the reason for God not deserving your worship then it fails.

as a Christian, I approve of the gays, because God loves ALL humanity regardless of sin, and if you disagree then you are not true people of God.

According to the Holy Bible- all men are called to repent. That entails walking away from their sin. Homosexuality is a sin - just like all sex outside of marriage(same sex marriage is an oxymoron). I'm not sure what you mean by "approve" but most Christians do love everyone regardless of their sin or we would never talk to anyone. If you are saying that Christians hate gay people then I would take exception to that. Disagreement does not necessarily mean hatred towards an individual. I have family members in that lifestyle and they know I love them and would die for them. They also know that I cannot approve of their lifestyle and will not participate in any ceremony related to it.

Homosexuality cannot BE a sin, for animals cannot sin yet some practice this, and since humans are sometimes born homosexuals this means that they would be sinners by birth and doomed from the start, now, does that sound like something a compassionate god would allow? I don't think so, you see, I myself and a Christian, yet also bisexual, I believe that as long as you beg for mercy, follow the lords will, spread the words of the bible and believe in the martyrdom of the lord Jesus and his death for our sins, then you shall have a chance to enter heaven regardless of past transgressions.

If you mean that one has same sex desires then, it doesn’t disagree with scripture. But if you are referring to engaging in the act then it is a sin in the old and New Testament. Any sex outside of marriage is condemned. Please show me where in the Holy Bible where it is condoned. You won’t find it. I’m afraid that you are confusing animals with humans also. The Wesboro Baptist “Church” and KKK are extremely bad examples of Christians and it seems disingenuous to build a case on nutcases. I meet a lot of Christians and have never met one who actually hates those living any kind of unchristian lifestyles.

If you have taken on Christianity – and I have no doubts that you haven’t – then Jesus commands all of us to REPENT of our sins. That literally means to walk away from it. You seem to be embracing your sin and even deny that it is a sin. The Bible is clear on this subject though. From Genesis to Revelation. Look at 1 Corinthians 9 6-11 where it states those who will not inherit the Kingdom of Heaven. In verse 11, it states “And such were some of you”, indicating that some of the saints had turned away from their lifestyles which included homosexuality. I hope this helps. It makes no sense to cry for mercy while you are still slapping God in the face either. Turn away - as it says in the book of James – Resist the Devil and he will flee. Is it easy? No. It wasn’t easy for Jesus to pay the price for our sins, so why should we expect it to be easy for us. Don’t take my word for this – go to scripture. That is my source.

Almost forgot – there is nothing found in science to support the notion that a person is born homosexual. There is no homosexual gene. We don’t know where same sex desires come from. While I don’t know what it’s like to have same sex desires, I do know what it’s like to have desires which would do me and others harm. I have to resist those desires, not indulge in them. Why should anyone be treated differently? My Christian friends would never tell me to go ahead and have sex outside of my marriage and if they did then they wouldn’t be a good friend or Christian.
