IF FEEL YOUR PAIN!
I'm a lawyer, I used to do consumer debt collection, and I authored about 10 Continuing Legal Education seminar papers teaching lawyers about debt collection.
At my ("minority") church I agreed to do a Saturday 1-hour talk on "Dealing With Debt Collectors."
The first person showed up 20 minutes late. The second person showed up 40 minutes late--and they were in ministry, so they weren't there for their own needs. I basically did the intro, then the second person came in, so I did the conclusion, which was basically a summary of the intro. I never got to do the ACTUAL TALK. (The basic formula for presentations is "First you tell them what you're GOING to tell them, THEN you TELL them, then you tell them WHAT you TOLD them," i.e., summary.)
