Actually I happily voted with the expectation that the EU would reject just about any deal that doesn't ultimately give them control over the UK and thus, would lead to no deal as a result
I don't know how many people voted out thinking the EU would be ok with its 3rd biggest funder cutting it off and allow open trade but I doubt its many
