You do realize that 75% of engineers in Silicon Valley are here on H1-B visa. Google has over 2,500 and Apple has over 2,000.
Their stated reason for this is that American workers do not have the education to fill these jobs. It seems our colleges are focused on gender, African, and Women's studies and not STEM. Our students are too focused on safe spaces and aren't qualified for the workforce.
