You assume I am a Republican because I support strong borders but I support strong borders because I have seen what happens to countries without them. I would replace everyone in both parties if I could. I want people that can lead, which includes working together for the common good.

Lately I can see why you would think that way but I call it like I see it, some of his ideas are not bad, his explaining the ideas needs work. I started out a democrat but they ran me off. I want whoever sits in an office to tell the truth and do as they promise. If Trump doesn't get enough walls built (I think gaps are needed, just watched) to slow down drug gangs and fix our immigration rules so that only a real refugee can claim that title and workers can come and go in peace, he will not get my vote in 2020. I am pro immigrant, anti illegal. I am even ok with path to citizenship but even that has to be monitored.

He can have his wall but cut it out of some other government agency/expense. I propose defense cuts to pay for it since that is the largest expense.

Should be very easy since he claims it is such a tiny amount compared to the budget. A good negotiator could easily get it done.

The economy is better and that is better for everyone. There have been 14 recessions since 1928. 10 of those had a republican president.

The trick is getting the right balance, no party should ever have all three houses. We are limited by space but I would guess there is far more common ground around here than the daily flame wars make it look.

We just had 2 yrs of one party having all 3. Now I fear the pendulum will swing the other way and we get 2 more yrs of one party having all 3.

You might be right. Some days I wish we could replace congress with crack and meth heads, they would know what it is like at the bottom and would do more to help.
