At least make the upvotes give you one point and are unlimited unlike commenting for 100 points

There isn't a limit on getting points from people upvoting you if that is what this means. Comments tend to be more point abundant because you can comment as much as you want. We all have our more active days vs our not-so active days. The only things you will not get any points form people upvoting you on is memes and comment over a month old. If I have misinterpreted perhaps you can help me understand better so I can give you a better answer.

I did not see this in there. It is possible that the terms have been modified since you joined back in May of 2018. At any rate, there is no limit. So any memes you make can receive as many upvotes at the community will give you. And you can comment as much as you like and the same applies. If 700 people choose to upvote a comment, then that is what you will get. However, if commenting on a meme that is not of your own creation you will be subjected to the dreaded comment timer. This thing will allow us to comment at a certain rate. I believe they employed this to prevent spam bots and the like. It's irritating, but I guess it's better than some spammer having room to hit us over and over. If they have to wait 3 minutes between spam comments they are not as likely to spend their time doing it here on this site.

As far as how many points are awarded for said upvotes, I COULD be wrong but I believe I was told that it is 40 points for each upvote your meme gets, and 30 points for each upvoe you get on a comment. Then each comment you make earns some smaller amount, text comments earning less than meme comments and varying other fine print that I cannot recall. If you would like I can try to get that info for you. Meanwhile I hope I have been some amount of help on this matter for you.
