I will admit, based on our current understanding of chemistry and physics, there is evidence towards your argument. But that does not mean it is irrefutable and thus impossible. Rather, it is simply currently not possible. To have such a closed mind is possibly the biggest hinderance in scientific discovery.

Based on the chemical definition of what "burning" means, means that it will always remain impossible. Any amount or speed of heating would way sooner reduce and dissociate the atoms first before it could ... you know what, before nothing because it can't be oxidized any further.

Yes, the universe works the way it works, always has always will. But don't be so quick to think our understanding of it can't progress beyond what it currently is and won't progress enough to warrant a change in a definition.
