Private funds can't be given to the government with the condition that "it can only be used for this". The money goes to the Treasury and Congress decides how to spend it. And none of it would have to be spent on the wall.

I have seen that but, people are making a pretty big statement by donating that much money in so few days. I think a lot of people are watching this go fund me. Not that it matters much. No I didn't donate. To get my money I want my name on that wall
