That is why we have 3 parts of our government, checks and balances. If one group has all the power, with no argument and discourse, that is the direction to an authoritarian government. Lincoln meant that we must unite and I agree, but our difference in opinion makes us stronger. And I dont believe that a significant amount of Americans hate the US, they just make bad decisions that hurt it.
