It started as a straightforward remembrance meme. (I admit, I should have kept it that way as to not detract from the sentiment.) It's gotten under my skin that younger neophyte political candidates (and now some winners) have taken up a hipster bandwagon that Bernie Sanders created. It's a slap in the face to those who have served and died for our country fighting against those political archetypes the past century.

No argument from me. Many members of my family have worn a uniform, I would hate to see it get traction here. Over time, those ideologies have surfaced from time to time. Just hoping more sensible members of the Dems can keep it in check again. Or, make them break away and form their own party.

I agree, John Steed and Emma Peel would be able to take care of them. Oh wait, you probably meant the other Avengers. Sorry. LOL!

Doubtful.
Democrats have an odd habit of reaching across the table and compromising with Republicans for the sake of, I don't know, something akin to having the same basic agenda with some occasional sprinkles of different color confetti to appease the base.
Therefore, the notion that they'll take action to keep it in check is ludicrous, and thus Trump shall continue unabated doing Putin's bidding unimpeded and rendering the USA into a Soviet Satellite State.

Hate to be a bummer, but look at Bill Clinton's constant "Ok, don't twist my arm, I'll sign it."

And if that seems a thing of the past, Schumer had Congress by the balls over DACA with the goverment shutdown, and he inexpicably backed off before it was Monday. He used the typical Democrat, "They agreed to discuss it with us later" excuse, just to forget it.

I know. It's not really a Dem vs. Rep thing anymore, except for posturing purposes so the media can fan the flames to cause unrest with the people.

It's about those who own the elected (in both parties) and what they want. Like you said, out of the blue a deal gets made, or an issue just goes away. In the process, they are more than happy to let people argue among themselves about who the black hats are (it's your party's fault!, no it's your party's fault!).

They both have the same lobbyists and corporate interests buying them up. That's why Dems won't legislate for gun control, for example, the NRA fills their pockets too.

People arguing against each other distracts from their corruption.

Agreed. And the constant Trump coverage adds to the distraction hiding the corruption. The media isn't helping in this area, just adding to the distraction. Besides, sound bytes and click bait mean ratings and revenue to them.
