E. coli from all sources kills about 500 people per year. The number from romaine lettuce is much smaller than that.
It is estimated that illegal aliens, kill about 1,200 - 4,000 per year. (the exact number is difficult to get due to plea bargains and deportation deals) .This includes direct homicide, DUI deaths, and negligent homicide.
This doesn't count rapes, robberies, assaults, drug smuggling, human trafficking, etc.. Illegal aliens account for about 4% of the population yet account for 22% of prison inmates.
Any crime committed by an illegal alien is preventable and unwarranted. If they were not in this country no crime would have been committed.
It should be noted legal immigrants have a lower incidence of crime in this country than does the general population - possibly because they had to go through a screening process before they were allowed to become legal.
