Wrong, they uphold laws as written, if you don't like the laws, change they way you vote and elect better people.

I wish it was that easy. It's hard to elect better people when politics have gotten so ugly that good people don't want to run. But there are other ways. The judge wasn't happy with my last jury duty but no victim, no crime. Sorry, not sorry.

I never make it past the questions, so no jury duty but I have been a witness twice and both times it ended badly for the prep.

I work as an expert witness sometimes but that isn't nearly as interesting as cases with perps!

My two were easy, small town, I knew both the thieves, the equipment stolen and the victims. I really wasn't needed for a win but I felt like I helped,

There are also those who are not to be trusted... There are good cops, there are also bad cops. I believe that both need to be acknowledged and, rather than getting away scot-free, the bad ones should be punished when they kill innocent people.

The same should apply to people elected into office.

I think people in positions of power should face more severe consequences. As it is, they typically don't face any consequences. And I agree with Burnt, it should apply to elected officials also!
