Dude. A good portion of those votes are overseas ballots. Y'know, from troops stationed overseas?

Dude. They still needed to be counted by the deadline, 30 minutes after polls closed. Y'know, to prevent ballot stuffing?

The deadline for those ballots to be received is this Thursday - they have to have been SENT by election day.

Okay, so hopefully the overseas ballots will have the correct postmarks (no later than Nov 6, 2018 from an overseas PO). How many overseas ballots have been received, or are expected? Troops tend to be conservative, so it will be interesting to see which way that will go.

It appears that although "early voting activity reports are available to the public", "Vote-by-Mail requests activity reports are only available to statutorily authorized persons and entities." That sounds like the perfect recipe for ballot-stuffing.

It will indeed be interesting to see.

Considering "statutorily authorized persons" are (going off of personal experience here, which is not FL-specific) very strictly bipartisan (an exact 50-50 split), I'm not that concerned about it. Keeping things close to a small group maintains integrity of information.

Another good portion of those ballots are provisional ballots, which each require a certain amount of investigation to determine if they are valid before they can be counted. From what I've heard, there were more provisional ballots than in previous years.

Bottom line: Things take time. There are rules in place to keep ballot-stuffing and voter fraud from happening, but those rules make the counting process more time-intensive.
