Cause grass type starters suck
Only Venusaur and Serperior are good. The other good grass starters that comes to mind are Chesnaught and M-Sceptile, but both dropped to RU (and isn't top-tier in it like M-Blastoise
Good fire and water type starters however: Charizard (Mega), Greninja, Blaziken, Empoleon, Infernape, Primarina, Incineroar, Blastoise (Mega), and those are the ones on the top of my head.

Heres the ratio of fire to water to grass types that I own. 3:1:2.
So, I guess, they dont suck but it would be cool if there where electric, dark type Pokémon.
