Thanks, there are some cool places around here, but any more I stay out of Seattle. The last job I worked there was The Bill And Melinda Gates Foundation building (Iris) and walking to and from work was like walking through a mine field of needles and human waste. That was probably seven or eight years ago and I see things have gotten exponentially worse. Hopefully the people will get a clue and find some leadership, but I'm not holding my breath (unless of course I should find myself in Seattle and then I will definitely be holding my breath) :)

I wouldn't take my word for it (I seldom do). I was born in Seattle and I loved the city growing up, but it has changed. There are still a lot of great things there but I see it through the filter of what it once was and it's really sad. If you have plans that involve Seattle, by all means check it out, but don't be surprised if you find what you want outside the city (hint, hint Snohomish) :)

Huzzah yes I'd definitely want to work that in!

Every three years I have to renew my first aid card and the instructor is big into renaissance fairs so I know there are some around here. A lot of times he brings in pictures and rumor has it he once challenged a student to a sword fight (although I can't confirm that) :)
