Friend, if you're truly for the 2nd Amendment, then you're actually talking to the wrong person.
Republicans and Conservatives are often accused of being Nationalistic. Nationalism have become infamous since the rise of Fascism in Italy and Germany, and Imperial Japan.
Nationalism is good, as it serves to build identity, pride, and solidarity amongst a people-group which shares common history and cultural traditions, However, the Fascists in the two countries have taken it to the most extreme level, as they exploited the prevalence of racism and xenophobia amongst the people by scapegoating the Jews for their present and past ills, and promoted the racial superiority of the people who are not.
This is most especially true with Germany and Japan, as the former promoted the racial superiority of the "Aryan" people, and the latter, the Yamato race.
