I think it's a fair question. Are the fetuses of endangered animals considered to be under particular protections as living members of that species? If so, I don't think there's any justification for not extending the 'unalienable rights' of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness to all people, regardless of whether they happen to exist within another person or not, because a human being is a human being, and I'm pretty sure that we all agree, except in extreme, limited circumstances, killing other human beings is wrong.
