I'm a big Amazon fan. The difference between them and Sears is the quality of management.

Like Apple, one person with great ideas and nobody to prevent their implementation (stockholders/committee based management) can do a lot for a company.

McDonalds is public, and the quality of workers is somewhat low. Chick Fil-A is private, and the difference shows.

Btw, after your BK onion ring meme, I went and ordered them with a meal two days later. Delish! First time in at least 20 years, maybe more. Then I saw them on the menu at Culvers and tried them also.

If you like onion rings, please treat yourself to the Culvers variety. These are the best I've ever had in my life. Today I even dipped them in my chili. They are much more tasty than fries - but be careful. They are HOT (temp, not spice).

And they are addictive. ;-)

I'm an Amazon fan as well. Currently, my company is doing the shell and core electrical for Amazon's newest tower in downtown Seattle. I've been working on lighting/power for quite some time now and I can't even remember when I started on the last tower. We don't have Culver's out here, but I will definitely put their onion rings on my bucket list :)

I'll bet they're gonna need a LOT of power with all that automation. They do predictive warehousing... they move things to a warehouse, based on what they think you'll buy. It helps with 'same day delivery'. So yeah, they know what I want, before I do.

There are a few 'Where are they now' articles on meme personalities. Many of the most popular people are featured. Check 'em out if you get a chance... you'll see they're actually real people and have real lives. Even grumpy cat is among them... and she's aged like the rest.

Brian (Kyle Craven) has a kid, and his famous picture was a yearbook gag. You'll be surprised to see what these people look like now. Overly attached girlfriend is actually HOT. But the 10 Guy remains elusive, for obvious reasons. '10' refers to how stoned a person is, on a scale of 1 to 10. I would try to remain anonymous as well, if I needed to work for a living.

You'll find Dodge (the dog), the First World Problems gal, and the girl in front of the burning house out there. Even the hipster barista. They're all real people who got caught up in something unexpected.
