There is still political, cat, gaming, and reposts in the fun section. So, they are accomplishing nothing.

E.g. if a political meme is in politics, or a repost is in repost, nobody can really say "Enough with the political memes!" or "Enough with the reposts!" - since they're in that section.

So that's one thing they might be accomplishing.

On the other hand, I don't like the site navigation as much now.

I ask it to be a filter, but it still would have to be submitted in a category by the person making it. So, you are still going to get memes where they don't belong. It's a big mess, but it's getting a lot of chatter on here.
