Just in case anyone is interested, the presentation which was removed in it's entirety was the early closed session item for the City Manager's evaluation. Here's my presentation that they cut it out of the replay of the October 9, 2018 city council meeting on utube.
Good evening. Another evaluation for Rick Cole. But why would that be and what would it be for?
In the past city manager's have been responsible for overseeing the departments within the city. But not Rick Cole he puts that responsibility on the heads of the departments. Would that be so he can blame someone else when things go horribly wrong?
Just like he's farmed out a lot of his other job responsibilities. Either to consultants or by creating new departments, at the expense to the residents.
Take the communication department, the public was told that Debbie Lee could do it all. Then it became she needed six more people. Then it became I need a team of consultants. Again at further expense to the residents. Continuing to inflate an already bloated city staff balloon until it's ready to pop.
Or is his real job just to sit up there, try to look good, and repeat your propaganda as though it was the truth? Like on May 22, 2018, when he came at me and I interrupted him. He clearly said, "I'm not done yet."
Now why would he say it in that manner? Unless of course he was repeating something scripted that was well rehearsed.
Or is the real reason you chose him be because he is buddy, buddy with people who are on the Coastal Commission? And you think your funky. fudged, and questionable numbers will be approved because of it. That shows the way you've destroyed a once nice small town into a crime ridden slum. Just like item 8A from the last city council meeting.
Also I thought the city manager was supposed to be the one of you sitting up there representing the resident's and the community point of view. But besides spewing your propaganda, he really only seems to be concerned with the business' or stakeholders in the community,
Showing pandering to your real voting base.
