My three-year-old asked me, who is the girl who can't say her ABC's? maybe 25 times today? I swear it's a form of torture. I started out by asking her to stop nicely, if that counts for anything.

It’s fine. Parenting can be complicated sometimes. And it can come in so many forms. Whatever you feel is best for your child, that should be up to you.

Loved your meme. And I totally agree with parents not understanding that the best way to teach their child is by modeling behavior. The human brain doesn't fully develop until the mid-twenties. Last thing to develop is the prefrontal cortex which is responsible for reason, judgment, and impulse control. Young children are operating on more of an animal brain level, or "reptilian brain", and don't tend to respond to reason, but respond well to violence or threats of violence because it's the only thing they actually understand at that point in their brain development.

Very true. It is understandable for an adult to yell at a kid to get the kids attention. A kid needs to know what is wrong and right. Yelling can increase the understanding of a kids thoughts and they’ll now not to do something. I just made this meme as a joke referencing to “hippocratic” kind of people.
