Ford's 4 witnesses weren't at the hearing. He claimed to be open to a new investigation up until someone suggested he actually have one. Guilty or not, in my opinion, there's enough to warrant an investigation. But ya no that's probably not in the works.

As was stated multiple times during the hearing, the FBI would have gotten the testimony from the people that had already testified under threat of perjury and presented that same testimony to the senators. It was a redundant request designed to buy time for the Democrats until after the midterms.

As Kavanaugh and the republicans made clear, if the Democrats were actually concerned with the truth then they could have been asking relevant questions instead of continually pressuring Kavanaugh to ask for an FBI investigation. The truth is obvious that they wanted to stall the vote.

Kavanaugh never denied getting drunk. He denied being black out drunk. Personally, I've never been black out drunk and I think it's just an excuse people use when they're embarrassed of how stupid they behaved the night before.
