why should his defence be strong? proving you're innocent of something is an extremely difficult thing to do...and remember, by law, he shouldn't have to prove anything...it's up to his accusers to prove a crime was committed

Because such things shouldn't be half assed. It doesn't matter if he technically doesn't have to defend himself. Lets not get into a debate about "Guilty until proven Innocent" or "Innocent unti proven Guilty"

I was talking about it (It bieng "Guilty until proven Innocent" or "Innocent unti proven Guilty) from a Philosophical stand point. Also for the last, I am not supporting the Accusation. Its just if he were to provide an actual defence I did be more inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt.
