Kavanaugh

Kavanaugh | Why is it that when men report 30 year old sexual assaults, they are praised publicly as victims and the public is outraged at the priests and coaches? But when women do the same, they are shamed and abused by an indignant public? Why is the abuser rewarded when he lies with impunity What kind of society are we? I'm sure it has 'nothing' to do with the fact that those male Victims

- were Minors,
- were abused by some on in a Position of Authority
- Saw their Abusers protected by a Greater Authority

Ford claims he was 17 'attacking' her at 15... None of her alleged witnesses remember it, she can't put a time table too it... AND she has both a Political and Personal Motive to make up accusations...

Not to mention the timing of her claims (would we have even heard word one about this had the Feinstein found another way to Sandbag the Nomination? Seriously Feinstein had the Letter in July, but waited until the hearing was closed and the confirmation date was set... If it were about the "Crime" and not Politics, why the delay?)

Dr Blasey-Ford has nothing to gain and a lot to lose by coming forward no matter what the outcome. All that is asled is a form of Due Process despite the fact that this is not a trial. A thorough FBI investigation would interview witnesses and look into a possible pattern of behavior. Consider that several men on the Senate Judicial committee also voted against the 2013 reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act. And that act passed with only 22 Republican senators voting Nay.
As to the ages, I think that with private interviews, different versions might be recollected.
And yes, this is not just about 2-17 year olds (don't forget about Mark Judge whose work you should check) and a 15 year old girl; it may be revealed that this behavior continued into his college years.
Since I'm not sure to which meme your comment refers, but if it is the priests, we actually have an Ohio congressman who was told about abuse by coaches and apparently chose to ignore it. Boys and young men can be victims as well and also caught in the good ole boys club attitude. You are right about that. It is equally abhorrent when positions of power are abused and children and teens and young people are the victims of the abuser and of a society which buries its collective head in the sand.

Slim nailed it!

Maybe we'll "believe the accuser" when the exercise personal resposibilty. Meanwhile Ford, Rameriz and the dems are doing the MOST damage to those REALLY assaulted. You're arguement lacks basis in reality. You lose! WAH WAH

If you're a woman and you don't understand the fear and shame which accompanies and follows such an attack, you aren't trying to learn from your sisters. If you're a male and you don't get it, shame on your parents for not teaching you how to respect yourself and the opposite gender. And shame on you for not getting it on your own.
I get the kids will be stupid thing but there is a point when stupid cannot be overtaken by ntimidation, misuse of brute strength, and lack of character.
If you don't understand why a minor did not report the incident to her parents and subsequently to the police when she was only 15, what is the matter with you?
If you condone gang rape or frequently drinking to excess, where are your values?
Pushing the limits is one thing, but constantly crossing the lines is another.
One is a rite of passage and the other is a failure of character.
Senator Feinstein did not have a name to put forward as it had been redacted, I believe. There was nothing of substance to report until the alleged victim was willing to come forward.
This nomination and its process have been flawed from the beginning. Records were withheld when they should have been available for review. There is no reason for a rush to confirm. I think that some of this information might actually have been available to the GOP chair and other GOP members long before it became public. That may be a large part of the push for a vote. It wasn't the Dems but the GOP who knew and were afraid it would come into the daylight.
But this meme was really about the respect due to women who do not want nor do they invite such attacks. Why should these victims suddenly become the ones who are evil? Why is it that no one attacked the boys who were attacked by their priests and the young men who were attacked by their coaches?
How do you justify that double standard? Can you?
