If you're a woman and you don't understand the fear and shame which accompanies and follows such an attack, you aren't trying to learn from your sisters. If you're a male and you don't get it, shame on your parents for not teaching you how to respect yourself and the opposite gender. And shame on you for not getting it on your own.
I get the kids will be stupid thing but there is a point when stupid cannot be overtaken by ntimidation, misuse of brute strength, and lack of character.
If you don't understand why a minor did not report the incident to her parents and subsequently to the police when she was only 15, what is the matter with you?
If you condone gang rape or frequently drinking to excess, where are your values?
Pushing the limits is one thing, but constantly crossing the lines is another.
One is a rite of passage and the other is a failure of character.
Senator Feinstein did not have a name to put forward as it had been redacted, I believe. There was nothing of substance to report until the alleged victim was willing to come forward.
This nomination and its process have been flawed from the beginning. Records were withheld when they should have been available for review. There is no reason for a rush to confirm. I think that some of this information might actually have been available to the GOP chair and other GOP members long before it became public. That may be a large part of the push for a vote. It wasn't the Dems but the GOP who knew and were afraid it would come into the daylight.
But this meme was really about the respect due to women who do not want nor do they invite such attacks. Why should these victims suddenly become the ones who are evil? Why is it that no one attacked the boys who were attacked by their priests and the young men who were attacked by their coaches?
How do you justify that double standard? Can you?
