Is he on the road again, turnin' the page or workin' on his night moves? That's be my favorite from him, right there. But he's got a whole '60 Chevy worth of hits. This guy is on the radio everyday, even decades after he could have retired. Last I heard he was still touring. :-)

Don't know if he's on the road, but if he comes around I will certainly make an effort to see him. Saw him on the "Like A Rock" tour and when he sang a CCR song (I want to say "Fortunate Son", but I don't think it was) he emphasized that he didn't think he was doing it better, he was doing it as a tribute to a band he loved.

He has a great voice for Creedence. And Fortunate Son is a great example.

And speaking of a fortunate son, how is your future son-in-law doing? I hope he continues to improve and get back to his usual routine. It took me a while before I was comfortable driving again. He may feel the same way when he gets behind the wheel eventually.

Yeah, Seger is one of my favorites. I worked on a set net site in Bristol Bay and we had a cassette player that would play an endless loop like an 8 track. We had two cassettes ("Like A Rock" and "Who Made Who") and every night one of those two would play all night. I have to say I like his earlier stuff way better, but to this day when I hear "Like A Rock" etc. I'm transported back to Cut Bank, Aladka. Future son-in-law is now a dad; he went straight from his hospital bed to birthing. He has two major lacerations across the top of his head and his side is totally bruised. He saw the face of the other driver and can't get it out of his mind. I've been trying to get him into the electrical apprenticeship and now he says that he won't go back to his old job so it looks like apprentice or bust. Thanks for asking.

Congratulations, Gramps! I'm glad to hear your future son-in-law is up and about.

There's a lot of psychological stuff that happens after an accident. I re-lived my crash for a long time, seeing it over and over in my mind. We saw it coming and could not avoid it. But the first step is survival - done. The rest will take time.

Maybe the career change will help, at least to keep his mind busy. Please keep an eye out for anxiety and depression. Getting the right meds as early as possible will make a big difference.

Thanks a lot. There will be a lot of us keeping an eye on him, he's a good guy. The one possible snag is that his math skills are lacking, but the apprenticeship does offer classes to help. I really appreciate your insight and I know it will help me as we move forward, thanks. :)

Me too. I've got TWO of their greatest hits albums. Chronicles I and II. Every song is a winner - not a clunker in the set. :-)

Cool. The first song I ever learned on guitar was Proud Mary.
