Time marches on

Time never stops. We stop observing. ;)

We will as a people have ceased to exist by then, we will at that point ceased to observe time. Its like this, an old wind up clock keeps going round untill its spring unwinds, it stops,
Time is still going, even when all energy in the universe is spent, the universe contracts back to before the big bang, and bang the clock is rewound, but time never stopped, it keeps going, it caint stop.

Actually the new thinking is that the universe will expand forever, we'll at least until enough time has passed that either protons decay or another big-bang event happens (impossible x forever = a distinct possibility)

And all the while, time has not stoped.
