I thought they decided not to mess with the memes.

I must have mis-read the headline with wishful thinking. :-)

I was wrong. Today I read they're proceeding with the vote after haggling on other issues with the new law. But the meme part will still be screwed when they're all done.

So it looks like common sense takes a backseat to corporate interests. Again. :-)
