My biggest concern is that the ones who are denying him TODAY were alive to see his greatness, and yet they are still voting against him. Whereas the people in a hundred years from now will continue voting against him when they won't even have seen what he was able to do on the field!

Pedro was really good at the time, Randy was still raw if I remember right. The expos had a lot of great players. However the GM was, he was an idiot.

I'm from around Cincinnati, Pete is an icon. A part of me believes Pete doesn't want to be in. Because, he has made more money and stayed in our conscious for all that time. The other thing that rubs me the wrong way, there is a ton of his stuff in the hall of fame. To keep him out is silly. But, every time we think he is in good graces, something else pops up.

I can't help but think he REALLY DOES wanna be in, though

He is no spring chicken, he wants to get in while he is alive. But unfortunately, I think the sportswriters won't until he is gone. Sad
